El patio de Atocha

Restaurant

El patio de Atocha is the place where you don’t lose the good habits.
It is the perfect fusion between a traditional restaurant and a modern bistro, whose flavours evoque memories, as they refer to traditional recipes with an ‘innovative travelling touch’.A local, quality product, with typical dishes from Madrid and the influence of other cultures and international cuisines. A true meeting of flavours and cultures. And all this with the best seasonal products and very little manipulation, using traditional techniques with modern concepts.
The restaurant is located in CoolRooms Palacio de Atocha, a palace from 1852 transformed into a luxury hotel, a privileged enclave where you can enjoy a careful gastronomy with a service oriented to offer the client a great experience with the best hospitality. The restaurant has two service areas: the terrace in the hotel’s main courtyard and the interior dining room.
The terrace is an oasis of calm in the centre of Madrid, with a small pool that appears and disappears by magic and a fountain whose sound becomes the soundtrack of the dining experience. The interior dining room is an intimate and cosy space where you can enjoy our recipes on those days when the weather is not good, but when the product, the preparation and the service will undoubtedly delight you.

El 34 de Atocha

The Cool Tavern of the 21st Century

El 34 de Atocha is an alternative space to enjoy some examples of the best Spanish gastronomic selection in a more informal way. Faithful to the old Madrid tradition of taverns, Palacio de Atocha opens its Cool Tavern of the 21st century with a proposal that includes: cold meats and cheeses, of course cut at the time, tables ideal for sharing, toasts of typical products, the best preserves on the market, pickles and viands, seasonal proposals, hot or cold to satisfy the desires of the most restless gourmets and to finish, delicious desserts. All of this is accompanied by a careful selection of drinks, including the typical Madrilenian vermouth on tap, well-drawn beers, wines from different national DOs, sparkling wines and unique proposals of wines from the Jerez region, finos, palos cortados, amontillados and olorosos.

One of the highlights of this magnificent 21st century Cool Tavern is that the products and drinks on offer can be bought as gifts or to enjoy the gastronomic experience at home.

Commemorating the most traditional tavern tradition at the tables and bar of El 34 de Atocha and with the spirit of the Las Letras district as a meeting place for art and creation, every month this Cool Tavern in the Barrio de Las Letras will surprise you with a calendar of product tastings, workshops and meetings with artists.

OUR CHEF

“I pursue originality in my dishes in order to surprise my diners. I like to deconstruct dishes that reveal the most authentic flavours of Madrid and give them that ‘innovative travelling touch’. Always respecting the local, quality product, the artisanal production and looking for poetry in this fusion of flavours and cultures, like the ‘Culturas’ collection of Rocio de la Torre’s work that is exhibited in our Palacio”.

Innovation is fundamental in a menu that introduces daily variations and plays with current concepts such as slowfood or organic cuisine. A proposal to enjoy a unique experience through the palate.
