1-Asturias by horse
Live a unique experience, on horseback, to disconnect from the routine and connect with nature. CoolRooms Palacio de Luces offers you 3 beautiful horseback rides with the best landscapes of Asturias, between the sea and the mountains, with a duration between 1h and 5h, with destination Argüero and Villaciosa or Playa de la Vega and Picu La Forquita or Playa de la Vega and El Mirador del Fitu. You will have all the necessary equipment.

2-Asturias by bike
Discover the best of Asturias by road or mountain bike and enjoy a very pleasant experience with a professional cyclist, Ruth Moll Marqués, with more than 12 medals in the Spanish cycling championships and pre-selected in the 2000-2004 Olympic Games, director and trainer of cycling level III and medium mountain guide. With more or less difficulty, we will adapt to your level, activity to do with family or even to give you a nice ride on two wheels while enjoying incredible landscapes in the middle of nature, combining culture and history.
We propose you 3 itineraries:
- Mountain bike itineraries: itinerary starting from the hotel, Caravia – Camino Del Norte, La Isla, Colunga, Mirador De Lastres and Faro De Ruces, itinerary of about 3h, 35kms.
- Itineraries on the road: itinerary with ascent to the Mirador Del Fito, return through Ribadesella, Camino De La Costa, 84km + 800m of positive difference in altitude. Duration 3-5h.
- Long route: ascent to the Mirador Del Fito + ascent to the Lagos De Covadonga.

3-Hiking: Mirador Del Fitu, Pico Pienzu and descent through the Hayedo de la Biescona
For all nature and rural tourism lovers, Asturias is synonymous with enormous native forests, green meadows, steep mountains, incredible cliffs and beautiful wild waterfalls. We invite you to discover some of the most spectacular Asturian natural landscapes, the best of Asturian culture and gastronomy through this hike. Explore most of the eastern part of the Sueve mountain range, visiting El Mirador Del Fito (one of the most impressive viewpoints in Spain), La Majada Del Bustacu (the confluence of the Sueve roads and one of the main cattle grazing meadows) ; the Pico Pienzu (the highest peak in Spain in relation to the distance to the sea), from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Asturian coast, from Cabo de Peñas to Cantabria, and of the interior of Asturias, from Oviedo to Los Picos de Europa; and, descending and crossing the interior of the Hayedo De La Biescona (a forest of beech trees at the lowest elevation above the sea level in Spain). It is possible to request a picnic at the hotel 24h in advance.

4-Guided tour in Lastres
Travelers who decide to visit Asturias end up falling in love with Lastres and its landscape. Will it be the same when you visit this village in northern Spain and become your favorite? Enjoy our 2h30 guided tour that will take you to the most picturesque and emblematic corners of the most beautiful village in Asturias, such as La Torre Del Reloj S. XVIII. You will also discover its architecture based on the needs of holes in the houses, determined by life around the sea and subsistence. 5-Personal Trainer
If you want to achieve certain physical and health goals, if you need advice or instructions on how to perform exercises, we offer you the possibility of requesting, in advance, the services of a personal trainer. The training sessions will take place at CoolRooms Palacio de Luces or in its surroundings, with Ruth Gómez Álvarez, long distance triathlete, with more than 11 Ironman races worldwide, she is currently personal trainer and trainer of the Oviedo Triathlon Club.

6-Surf lessons
Surfing on the Asturian coast is an incredible experience and we want you to enjoy it fully. The Asturian coast, with excellent conditions for surfing, offers all kinds of possibilities for lovers of this sport and our region is perfect to get to know the east of Asturias, one of the most beautiful places of the Cantabrian Sea. CoolRooms Palacio de Luces offers you surfing lessons with qualified professionals, who will teach you whatever your level or age. You also have the possibility to practice paddle surfing or paddle yoga. Equipment provided by the surf school.

7-Experience traditional fishing in Asturias
Enjoy one of the best experiences you can have at sea, fishing, the greatest natural wealth of Asturias! CoolRooms Palacio de Luces allows you to fish and discover all its secrets along the Ria de Villaviciosa, around the village of Tazones and the beach of Rodiles. The experience includes all the necessary equipment, permits, insurance and professional skipper. Departure from the port “el puntal” in the Ria de Villaviciosa. Possibility to rent the boat exclusively.

CoolRooms Palacio de Luces offers you a unique experience, a 2h visit to Los Caserinos cheese factory. During the visit you will see some of the native Asturian breeds such as the xalda sheep, the Asturian cow of the valleys, the pita pinta, the Asturian Celtic gochu, as well as calves, goats and rabbits. You will learn all the process of elaboration of cheese, rice pudding, curdled milk, organic yogurt…
