The National Prado Museum celebrates its bicentennial this year, 200 years since it opened its doors to the public on the 19th November 1819. It offers visits from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (except appointed date). It offers specific exhibitions, recommended tours and private visits and can be proud of owning the largest groups of El Bosco, Tiziano, El Greco, Rubens, Velázquez or Goya. The Prado and its collections are a reflection of the history of Spain.

Reina Sofía Museum

The Reina Sofia National Museum of Art Center opened in 1990 and created a museum of modern art and contemporary in Spain at an international level. It offers visits Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sundays and holidays check the schedule and Tuesday closed. Works by Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Jacques Lipchitz, Robert Capa, Antonio Saura, Gustavo Torner, Brassaï, Roberto Matta or Val del Omar. A tour that proposes four sections to through a historical sequence, but with alternative itineraries and vanishing lines to invite visitors to create their own tours.

Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum

The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum comes from what was the most important private art collection in Europe, which was installed in Madrid in 1992 and was acquired by the Spanish State. Located in the Villahermosa Palace, it houses one of the most important pictorial collections in the world with almost 900 works of art gathered over seven decades by the Thyssen-Bornemisza family: Canaletto, El Greco, Caravaggio, Rubens, Degas, Manet, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cézanne … It offers visits on Mondays from 12:00 to 16:00 and from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00.
