Palacio de Villapan\u00e9s is a remodelled 18th century palace that combines traditional nobility and contemporary pleasure. Former home of Admiral L\u00f3pez-Pintado, it is one of the most authentic accommodations in Seville, and its historical details rub shoulders with international design pieces by GCA Arquitectos and Patricia Urquiola.<\/p>

Admiral L\u00f3pez-Pintado was one of the most important personalities in the history of Andalusia who would end up holding the title of Marquis of Torre Blanca de Aljarafe and was a Lieutenant General of the Navy, landowner, businessman, breeder, winemaker, art collector and lover of good food.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The palace was designed by Diego Antonio D\u00edaz, maestro mayor of the archbishopric and possibly the most innovative architect of the time, who built it around 1729. The original construction, a two-storey building with double-arched bay windows on columns, follows the typological scheme of the Sevillian courtyard house with a long fa\u00e7ade bay that includes the entrance hall and the coach houses and others that are arranged around the central courtyard and the rear garden. Since December 2009, the Palace of Villapan\u00e9s has been protected as an Asset of Interest of the city of Seville, as it is considered one of the main Baroque manifestations of the 18th century and preserves most of its original architectural elements.<\/p>
